Semolina Cake With Lemon Syrup Recipe

Semolina Cake With Lemon Syrup RecipeI am sharing a very delicious semolina sponge cake recipe with all of you and if you ask me how does it taste then I will say it is really delicious and perfectly yummy and, we are having lemon zest as optional, but I highly recommend though, I can tell you that it is one thing that you are going to love with that cute yummy golden cake, so are you ready?

Ingredients that you need to make cake:-
2/3 cup semolina flour
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
5 large eggs, separated
2/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon finely chopped organic lemon rinds

Ingredients to make lemon syrup:-
2 1/2 cups water
2 to 2 1/2 cups caster sugar
6 to 7 tablespoons organic lemon juice
2 tablespoons finely chopped organic lemon rinds
We will start the cooking with preheating the oven to 350 ℉ or 176 ℃

Take a big bowl and add flour, semolina flour, and lemon rinds in it and combine it well and then put it aside, now take another mixing bowl and whisk egg yolks and sugar together until light and creamy and then with a spatula, stir in the orange rinds, semolina, and flour together until blended and no add the egg whites in a electric whisk and beat the egg whites until the egg whites is firm foam but not over beaten.

Take a 1/3 of your egg whites mixture and add it in egg yolk and flour mixture and keep folding  them together and then gently fold in all of egg whites and again gently fold in to combine, don’t overdo it cause we don’t want to lose the air bubbles from the batter cause that is very important to make a fluffy cake.

Now pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake it for 30 minutes or until golden brown and mean while it is getting baked, we can work on lemon syrup.

For that you need to take sugar, water, and lemon juice and lemon rinds and put the mixture on the fire and bring it to a boil then slow down the heat and let it simmer over low heat for another 25 to 30 minutes until it becomes thick syrup and then put it aside.

Serve it with a nice cup of tea and if you want to add some glamor then you can actually use wiped cream with that too.
