Today I am going to give you the best recipe of Lasagna, and I can tell you that it is not difficult, but yess it is tricky, you need to learn the best combination with practice, I am not saying that it is not very simple, it is not:(but it is the yummiest Lasagna ever.
You need 1 pound sweet Italian sausage
3/4 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup minced onion
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 can crushed tomatoes, I love tomatoes and I use some fresh baby tomatoes too, I love the chunks in my mouth…
2 cans tomato paste,
2 cans canned tomato sauce,
1/2 cup water and 2 tablespoon white sugar,
1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves and fennel seeds,
One teaspoon Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper,
Chopped fresh parsley,
A pack of lasagna noodles and 16 ounces ricotta cheese,
One large egg, mozzarella cheese slices and grated Parmesan cheese
Now we will start cooking.
You need to cook put sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic in Dutch oven over medium heat until well browned then stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water and mix well then season the mixture with sugar, basil, fennel seeds, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley and let it cook for 1 and a half minutes over really very low heat.
Now put a big pot filled with water and a bit salt in it over the heat and then when they start boiling put the lasagna noodles in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes and then drain noodles, and rinse with cold water immediately, now you need to take another bowl and mix ricotta cheese with egg and add parsley and salt and mix well, now you need to preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and now it is time to assemble the things.
We will spread 1 1/2 cups of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish then we will arrange the 6 noodles lengthwise over meat sauce and then we will spread one half of the ricotta cheese mixture over it and then we will top it with a third of mozzarella cheese slices and then we will pour 1 1/2 cups meat sauce over mozzarella, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, cover the meat mixture with cheese and keep repeating the drill till you finish all the things and set the layers neatly and perfectly then cover with foil to prevent sticking, but you need to make sure the foil does not touch the cheese at all, now the stage comes to baking.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes and then remove foil, again put it back for another 25 minutes and then let it cool down for 15 minutes and serve, absolutely creamy, moisturizer and yummy Lasagna will melt in your mouth:)
